About the Kirin
The Saskatoon Kirin Women's Rugby Club was established in 1975 by an amazing group of women and rugby players. This year the Kirin celebrate their 40th anniversary by continuing to be a force to be reckon with in the Saskatchewan Rugby Union and the North Saskatchewan Rugby Union.
The Kirin are proud to play out of their home pitch, the Saskatoon Rugby Clubhouse, located on English Crescent off of Millar Avenue. Starting in March the Kirin have indoor practice with their male associated club, the Krems, every Tuesday until the snow melts. During the season, we practice at Archibald park twice per week (Monday and Wednesday), with regular season and exhibition games on the weekend.
Outside of our regular season games the Kirin also enjoy participating in games and tournaments including Rugby Fest in Edmonton, SNAFU in Winnipeg, and games against other teams throughout Western Canada.
If you are interested in playing a highly competitive sport, meeting and making friends with some of the best women ever, and having an absolute blast, the Kirin welcome you to come and play for us regardless of age or experience!
